Two years after the release of their latest album, "The best damn thing", and after having launched her clothing line Abbey Dawn and plunged into the world of cosmetics fragrance Black Star, Avril Lavigne has announced on his blog that is located in Los Angeles working on "new projects".

Though not explained what these "new projects", and speculated that it could deal with his fourth studio album. Possibly Rissing Star name

At the moment, after the fiasco of "The softer side", a fake Avril album appeared in February in various download sites (and only this was a greatest hits compilation by a fan), it has confirmed that the artist appears in the new release of rapper Lil'Wayne, to be released in June this year.

In mid-2008, Avril told the British newspaper The London Paper: "I got a movie role. Something that will not wait for me, very deep and dark. " Could this be one of the "new projects" of Avril Lavigne, acting and not music?
