Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley was born on September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada but grew up in Napanee also located near a village in the east of the province of Ontario, Canada Daughter of John Lavigne, of French origin, and Judy Lavigne, French Canadian origin, both Catholics. Has a younger sister, Michelle and an older brother, Matt.
