Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley was born on September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada but grew up in nearby Napanee also a town located in the east of the province of Ontario, Canada, daughter of John Lavigne, French origin, and Judy Lavigne, French-Canadian origin, both Catholics. Has a younger sister, Michelle and an older brother, Matt. On this album Avril has had collaborations with Butch Walker, Deryck Whibley, Travis Barker (drummer of Plus 44, former blink-182) and Rob Cavallo, the album was produced by Dr. Luke and for the same Avril. On February 18, 2007 Avril sang live AOL sessions Everything Back But the simple You, I Can Do Better and When You're Gone.
Their new world tour with the album The Best Damn Thing began in Calgary, Canada.
In 2009 released "The Softer Side" is a compilation of the most popular covers Avril and some more, all in a more strawberry and less punk. A total of 16 tracks.
And it is expected that by 2010 out their fourth studio album "Rising Star" and contain 12 new songs written by the princess of punk & pop.
